Comorian is an eastern (Sabaki group) Bantu language spoken in the archipelago of the Comoro Islands, between Mozambique and Madagascar. It is generally said that each main island of the Comoros has its own dialect of comorian, with four main forms:

• Shingazidja, spoken in Ngazidja, or Grande Comore;
• Shinzwani, spoken in Nzwani, or Anjouan;
• Shimwali, spoken in Mwali, or Mohéli;
• Shimaore, spoken in Maore, or Mayotte
