Mehri (Mahri) is one of six pre-Islamic languages that form a group called Modern South Arabian languages (MSA). This group, which in-cludes Soqotri, Mehri, Jibbali, Bathari, Harsusi and Hobyót spoken by the Mehri people, who inhabit isolated areas of the eastern part of Yemen and western Oman, particularly the Al Mahrah Governorate.

Key Dialects : Western Yemeni Mehri ; Mahriyōt,also known as eastern Yemeni Mehri; and Mehreyyet, also known as Omani Mehri. Other regional dialects vary as per regions ( e.g Aljudhi Dialect in Saudi Arabia).
