Odia (Oriya) is an Indo-Aryan language that is mostly spoken in eastern India. It is the official language of Odisha and the second official language of Jharkhand. It been recently notified as a classical language. The language used today is the modified version of Odri Prakrit, which gradually derived from Sanskrit. Dialects vary as per different regions (e.g Sambalpuri, Desia, Relli, Bhatri and Bhuyan).
