Venda (Tshivenda, Luvenda) is a South-Eastern Bantu language and an official language of South Africa. It is predominantly spoken in Zoutpansberg district of Northern Transvaal in South Africa and also in Zimbabwe. It has many similarities to Karanga dialect of Shona language.

Key Dialects: Tshiphani, Tshiilafuri, Thsironga, Tshimbedzi, Tshilembethu, Tsitavhatsindi, Tshiladzi or Tshimada, Tshingona. Venda Chiefs speak a special language "Musanda".
