Kambaata is a Highland East Cushitic(HEC) language, part of the larger Afro-Asiatic family and spoken by the Kambaata people. Dialects are Kambaata, Tambaro, Alaaba, K'abeena and Xambaaro(Tembaro). It is one of the official languages of Ethiopia.
