Min or Miin (闽语; 閩語;) is a broad group of Chinese varieties. It consists of many sub-groups :Southern Min (Min Nan); Pu-Xian Min; Northern Min (Min Bei); Central Min (Min Zhong); Shaojiang Min; Leizhou Min; Hainanese. Northern Min (闽北; 閩北), is a group of mutually intelligible dialects of Min spoken in Nanping Prefecture of northwestern Fujian. Key Dialects: Jian'ou dialect; Jianyang dialect; Chong'an dialect (Wuyishan dialect); Songxi dialect; Zhenghe dialect.
